- 1 ¼ cups flour
- 1 ¼ cups oats
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ginger
- ¼ tsp allspice
- 10 tbsp unsalted butter, room temp
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl combine flour, oats, baking soda, salt, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and allspice set aside.
- In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer combine butter, brown sugar and maple syrup. Combine for 3-5 min until fully mixed together. Add the egg and mix again. Make sure to scrap the sides of the bowl while mixing. Next add the vanilla and mix again.
- Next mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, do this in two separate sections so the flour does not fly out of the bowl.
- Scoop the dough with a spoon or ice cream scoop and place on the lined cookie sheet, you will need to chill these in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
- Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 8 min then spin the cookie sheet and bake for another 6 minutes. Cool before enjoying.
