Ingredient Information

  • Almond Milk- feel free to use any milk you enjoy
  • Lime Juice
  • Cottage Cheese
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk- you can also use coconut version
  • Vanilla Protein Powder- I also use my favorite Flav City vanilla protein powder
  • Lime Zest– the easiest is to grate the lime zest right into the blender
  • Graham Cracker– honey graham crackers for best result

Step by Step

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender on high until smooth.
  2. Pour mixture into Ninja Creami container until the fill line and freeze on a flat service for 24 hours.
  3. Once frozen place in your Ninja Creami and hit the Light Ice Cream button.
  4. After it has run through a cycle use a butter knife to make a whole in the center and add 1 Tbsp almond milk, then put it back and hit re-spin.
  5. Next add the graham crackers (cut along the lines) down the middle and place back hit the mix in button. Enjoy a delicious Key Lime Pie Protein Ice Cream.

Pro Tip

  • My best tip is to make sure you test out your creami as much as possible. Don’t be afraid to try different buttons on the machine, it took my a few times to get comfortable with it but I promise the most delicious creations are going to come out of it if you let the machine work it’s magic!

Can I refreeze leftovers?

  • Yes! If there are leftovers you can flatten the top of the mixture in the container then refreeze them. But of course they will be rock solid again so you can either take it out and let sit on the counter for 15 minutes or run it back through the Ninja CREAMi on respin once.

How is the Ninja CREAMi different than a blender?

  • With a blender, even a high powered one, you need to add a decent amount of liquid for it to blend.  With the CREAMi you get super thick ice cream and sorbets that is unmatched!

Do you have to freeze the base for 24 hours?

  • The Ninja CREAMi guide says you must freeze for 24 hours but I have tried to use it after they have only frozen for 6-8 hours and it still works great just slightly less thick.

Ingredients 

  • ¾ cup almond milk
  • ½ cup lime juice
  • ¼ cup cottage cheese
  • ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 1 tbsp almond milk
  • 1 sheet of graham crackers

Instructions 

  • Combine: Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth.
  • Pour: Pour mixture into the ninja creami container until the fill line.
  • Freeze: Freezer upright on a flat surface for 24 hours.
  • Mix: Once frozen, place in your ninja creami and hit the Light Ice Cream button.
  • Add: Once it runs through, use a butter knife to make a hole down the center and add 1 tbsp of almond milk.
  • Respin: Then put it back in and hit respin.
  • Mix In: Then add in the graham crackers (cut along the lines) down the middle and place back in one more time and hit the mix in button.
  • Enjoy: Enjoy a delicious key lime pie protein ice cream!
