By: Kelsey
Soft and chewy spiced cardamom oat cookies with a warm, aromatic flavor—perfect for a cozy treat or snack!

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 ¼ cups oats
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • ¼ tsp allspice
  • 10 tbsp unsalted butter, room temp
  • cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a bowl combine flour, oats, baking soda, salt, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and allspice set aside.
  • In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer combine butter, brown sugar and maple syrup. Combine for 3-5 min until fully mixed together. Add the egg and mix again. Make sure to scrap the sides of the bowl while mixing. Next add the vanilla and mix again.
  • Next mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, do this in two separate sections so the flour does not fly out of the bowl.
  • Scoop the dough with a spoon or ice cream scoop and place on the lined cookie sheet, you will need to chill these in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  • Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 8 min then spin the cookie sheet and bake for another 6 minutes. Cool before enjoying.
