Maple Pumpkin Spice Simple Syrup
Yesterday I woke up wanting something extra yummy in my americano so I whipped up this simple syrup and it was amazing!! I usually always have my honey syrup in the fridge to sweeten my coffee a bit but the seasons are changing and this girl loves a pumpkin spice moment. I am not a CRAZY pumpkin spice lady but the flavors are just so fall and wonderful so adding them to my morning makes it feel extra special. This is a super simple combination of maple syrup, water and pumpkin pie spice. That’s it! Just heat it up to combine the spices into the syrup and you are done. I normally just had it with a black americano but I was feelin fancy for this photoshop and added it to an almond milk latte and DANG is it good. The thing I love about simple syrups too is that they add easily to cold drinks too. It’s still warm here so I have been making blended coffees in the morning often and this would be perfect with that! Just some cold brew concentrate, almond milk, this maple pumpkin spice simple syrup and ice. Okay wow all of this talk about coffee makes me want to go make another one RIGHT NOW.
This OXO squeeze bottle is always in rotation in our house!!
Look at that foam! Thanks to my Nespresso Latissima Pro that I love!
After you whip this recipe up, here are a few others to try:
Maple Pumpkin Spice Simple Syrup
- Yield: 30 1x
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- Combine water, maple syrup and pumpkin pie spice in a microwave safe container (like a glass measuring cup) and microwave for 2 minutes then stir combine.
- Store in the fridge (I like to store mine in a squeeze bottle) for up to 2 months.
- Add it to your coffee depending on how sweet you like it! 1/2 a shot glass full is delish.
- If you don’t have a microwave you can heat it on the stove top over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Simply delicious and just what I needed for that warm and cozy fall cup of coffee (even though it’s still 80 degrees and smoky as heck). I added an extra shake or two of pumpkin pie spice for an extra pumpkin kick.
Sounds perfect! Enjoy!
This is delicious! Perfect for fall, and it’s much cheaper to make yummy drinks at home! Thank you!
What do you do if you don’t have a microwave??
You can either mix everything with some boiled water or combine it all over the stove for 5 minutes on medium!
Oh!! Yum! I am going to make this right now!
In New Zealand they don’t sell pumpkin pie spice. Is it easy to make by combining different spices?
Yes! if you google homemade pumpkin pie spice you can find the recipe!
This stuff is great! I appreciate the easy instructions of heating it in the microwave because I hate getting a pot dirty for something quick like this! There is just enough pumpkin flavor and sweetness and the maple compliments they pumpkin spice perfectly! I use this with cold brew coffee and a splash of half and half and it is the perfect pumpkin spice drink without all the weird ingredients! I also love that the pumpkin flavor comes from pumpkin pie spice and not actual pumpkin because it can be hard to find pumpkin sometimes (especially now with the pandemic)
Yahoo! So glad to hear! Enjoy!!
This is delicious! I halved the recipe because my squeeze bottle is smaller. It turns my iced coffee into fall in a cup!
Yes Yes Yes!!
I’m making this today and I am so excited!!!!
Just made this for my coffee and it’s soooo good!! Quick and easy to make And I had all the ingredients on hand. No need to spend a fortune on fall coffee now!
Can’t wait to try this in my coffee!!
Yeeesss!!! This is the perfect amount of sweet and spice. I will be keeping this on hand. Thank you, Kelsey.
You are welcome, so glad to hear this!!
This is sooo delish! I never drink cold brew only hot, but I made one with almond milk and this simple syrup! Amazing!! Where has this been all my life!
Yes, our current favorite also!!!
Made this and it’s definitely a new favorite. Any suggestions for the little bits of spice granules at the bottom of the syrup? I made my own pumpkin spice mixture, so maybe that’s why those are appearing.
You just need to shake it up before you use it!
It smells delicious, but it’s not syrup more liquid.
It isn’t supposed to be super thick! Just like any simple syrup!
So perfect for my morning coffee!! Really easy and yummy. Made extra and sent some to friends. Who needs Starbucks?!
That’s what we are saying!! Goodbye expensive coffee! Enjoy
This recipe is in constant rotation in my house since you posted! I make sure to make more before the last batch is gone. Delicious and will be making for years to come!
Wonderful!! We love hearing this!
3 ingredients and super simple…my kind of recipe! Love this much cleaner and less expensive alternative to the store-bought kinds. Tastes amazing in my morning tea & hubby’s coffee!

Thank you too much!! Enjoy!
I just made this … it’s perfect and easy; Convenient way to pumpkin spice flavoring on hand!
