Pro Tip

  • High-Speed Blender is Your Friend: For the ultimate smooth and creamy texture, a high-speed blender works best. If using a food processor, you may need to blend for a longer time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to soak the cashews or can I skip that part?

  • Yes, you have to soak the cashews. Soaking the cashews softens them, making them easier to blend into a smooth consistency. If you are short on time you can speed up the soaking time by soaking the cashews in extra hot water.

  1. Sounds scrumptious! Do you think you could use fresh spinach, sauteed? The thought of frozen spinach makes me gag–sorry. Childhood issues – haha

    1. I used fresh spinach and it turned out great! Be warned that it took a one pound costco sized package of fresh spinach to get a little more than one cup wilted leaves.

    1. I haven’t tried roasted ones but I assume they would work as long as they aren’t salted. Let me know if you try!

This dip is delicious!! I just made some for our super bowl gathering but Iโ€™m scared it wonโ€™t make it because I canโ€™t stop doing dipping. I used fresh spinach but zapped it in the microwave with a paper towel to cover. It worked perfectly. Canโ€™t wait for the game!!

Just made this recipe for the superbowl! Tastes just like the fattening version but now I can indulge knowing it’s made with wholesome ingredients!! Made in a blender and just had to use a bit more coconut milk and some water. Thanks for a great recipe!
