2 Ingredient Protein Crepes
Simple, quick and the perfect way to balance all the coffee we sometimes call breakfast, these 2 ingredient Protein Crepes is the next big breakfast trend.
Wow time is for sure flying by, this recipe was originally created back in the pre wedding, only eating low fat and counting calorie days; truly not a time in my life that I miss. But I did come up with this amazing high protein, low stress very quick breakfast which satiates all the morning craving after running kids round and only drinks coffee for the first few hours after my Sunlight alarm wakes me up. Back to these 2 Ingredient Protein Crepes, they legit only have 2 ingredients and I can almost bet you have them both in your kitchen. Egg whites and protein powder mix together and pour onto a sprayed pan to make sure they slide out. Top with any combo imaginable and you have the perfect breakfast to get your day started.
Toppings for Protein Crepes:
- Cashew butter & banana
- Peanut butter and a couple chocolate chips
- Strawberries
- Raspberries & blueberries with a squeeze of lemon juice
- Yogurt with a drizzle of honey + fruit
Now cut to these beauties!! >>> Protein Crepes!
What pan should l use for these crepes?
You should only use a non stick pan for this recipe. If you use stainless steal or cast iron it will stick to the pan. These crepes are soo thin that you will need the ease of the non stick pan to make sure the crepe is complete flipped and then removed.
Can I use any protein powder?
Yes!!! Use whatever you have or the one you always use in your smoothies, even if its chocolate and peanut butter ( like my fav protein powder FLAVCITY.)
Nutrition for Protein Crepes
These crepes are so easy and only have 2 ingredients, eggs & Protein powder. So when we think about the nutrition of this recipe, let’s just say it is very high in protein and low in carbohydrates. Eggs are a whole protein source and protein powder as well. You definitely are going to get a hearty serving of protein from this recipe to start out your day in the morning if you eat for breakfast, so adding a fruit filling is a great way to eat these crepes so you are more balanced. These Protein Crepes would also be a great post work out recovery meal! Who said you have to eat lots of meat to get enough protein?

2 Ingredient Protein Crepes
- Yield: 2-3 crepes 1x
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup egg whites
- 1 scoop (30-38 grams) vanilla protein powder
Instructions
- Place a non stick skillet over medium high heat. In a bowl combine egg whites and protein powder and whisk until protein powder is dissolved. Scoop about 1/2 of the mixture (if using an 8 inch pan) or 1/3 of the mix if using a smaller pan, into the pan and rotate pan around so the batter spreads thin. Cook until the bottom is lightly browned and flip it over to cook through.
These look great and you are right, we don’t have to feel guilty for eating them! I love the 2 ingredient aspect of the recipe.
Hi Kelsey,
I hope that you are having a lovely day!
I am currently setting up a company which will be selling high protein products. We would like to share delicious recipes with our clients on our website and, if possible, we would love to use your recipe on our company’s website. We would translate the recipe into Polish, include the pancake’s picture from your blog and include a link to your blog. We are currently finishing building the website but would be happy to send you a draft of the finished recipe for your approval before it goes life.
Please do let us know if this sounds fine to you 🙂
Many thanks and have a lovely day,
Beata
Hi Beata! That sounds great, feel free to do so! Thanks!
Hi Kelsey,
I know you said to eat them right away after making. My question is do you think they would hold up if I refrigerated them right away? I was thinking of making a large batch in advance and microwaving them when I wanted to eat them.
Thanks!
Kayla
That should work but I haven’t tested it!
Thanks so much for this! Love these- and am always looking for ways to mix up egg whites for variety! Made these this weekend and my whole family loved them!
I made these today with Arbonne’s Vanilla protein powder! I also made a chocolate filling using Arbonne’s Chocolate protein powder, just the powder and a little almond milk until it was a “frosting”. Sprinkled some chopped nuts and I can’t believe how amazingly good it tasted and it filled me! Between the crepes and the filling, it was 2 scoops of powder which is a meal serving for us, so was perfect for my meal! Great recipe!
That is great to hear!! So glad you enjoyed it!!
Just made these…fabulous but yes eat them right away!
This recipe is so great! It’s so fast and easy. I added a drop of vanilla extract and it added to the flavor of egg. Smaller pan the better, and flip them fast. So good!

I added one whole egg, 4 packets of splenda and 2 tablespoons of dark cocoa powder. Then sprinkled splenda over the cooked crepes! Excellent recipe. Thanks for posting!

Made these with some vanilla extract and some ground cinnamon. So good.
They didn’t look as pretty as yours, but I also didn’t notice them getting crunchy like you mentioned.
Thank you for sharing.
I’m making them again tomorrow to help fuel my marathon.

Great recipe can’t wait to try it out.

Can I use two whole eggs? Including the yellow? Will that change the consistency of the crepe?
The consistence will not be the same with two whole eggs vs just the egg whites.
Excellent recipe! I filled the pancakes with banana and drizzled a low calorie blueberry syrup over them. Delectable and love that its only 2 ingredients. Great protein treat!
Hi! Do you know if this will work with vegan protein powder? Or does it have to be whey?
Vegan protein powder should work great.
AMAZING! Great texture, easy and a fun “treat” to replace pancakes. I am thrilled with this recipe and the possibilities; love that it is gluten and dairy free and high protein. I like these even better than the 2 ingredient banana pancake recipe that is popular. Thank you!

SO glad you loved it!
Made these today for lunch! They were awesome. I don’t have nonstick pans and only use cast iron. The cast iron worked great, keep your temp to a minimum and I always use no salt butter in my pan. I will be making these again!

Amazing to hear, thank you!
