BACON! Who doesn’t love bacon? Beside vegetarians and people who “prefer sausage”. Those people tend to freak me out. I do love sausage but when the option is there, bacon will always win. The salt, the crisp, the FLAVOR! I could really go on and on. A couple weekends ago I drove up to Santa Barbara with some of my best friends from college. We had a heck of a night out on the town and needed a hearty breakfast in the AM. My friend Kelly and her boyfriend made a delicious meal and the highlight was this maple pepper bacon. HOLY MOLY. It’s really all I could think about for the next week so I knew I had to recreate it. This is such a simple way to make bacon go from good to AMAZING!!! I realize I have used a fair amount of CAPS LOCK this blog post, but for bacon… it’s a bit more than neccessary. Although you probably stopped reading after I said Maple Pepper Bacon and you are at the store right now. I understand. Ready, Set, BACON!
Sprinkle on lots of pepper.
Drizzle with a good amount of maple syrup.
Crisp those bad boys up!
Enjoy your salty, sweet and peppery bacon!
