Move over white chocolate, greek yogurt is the new dupe you will be loving for these Yogurt Dipped Peppermint Pretzel snacks.
We all know when December rolls around on the calendar it means the continual bombardment of holiday treats everywhere you turn. Years and years ago I would have restricted my eating or deemed some treats bad or off limits, but these days we are doing better and treating ourselves better. As much as we all want to indulge with every treat or dessert that shows up in the office kitchen or gets dropped off by loving friends we also know we are not going to feel 100% if we do. This recipe is trying to counter act that yucky feeling while still having all the joy that comes with Christmas. These Yogurt Dipped Peppermint Pretzels is the perfect combo of sweetness from the yogurt, salty from the pretzel and of course some broken up candy canes for festivity.
This recipe cannot get any easier, I swear. All you need are some pretzel rods, vanilla greek yogurt and candy canes. The other amazing part of this recipe is that you don’t need any bowls, none! Take a cookie sheet and line it with parchment paper, take a pretzel rod and dunk it into the yogurt then roll in smashed candy canes. Then just place on them on the parchment paper and let harden in the freezer.
Be sure to store them in an air tight continuer after they have hardened, Place them yogurt side up in a fun festive glass and have them for decoration at your next party, or on the center counter for a fun afternoon snack for the kids!
I love the versatility of a jug of greek yogurt, here is just a sampling of some yogurt recipes:

Yogurt Dipped Peppermint Pretzels
Ingredients
- pretzel rods
- 32 oz. vanilla greek yogurt
- 2 candy canes
Instructions
- This recipe doesn't really need amounts because you can make as many as you want!
- Just take a pretzel rod and dip it into a container of vanilla greek yogurt to coat it, then place it on a silicone baking mat or parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- In a ziploc bag, place a couple of candy canes and use something heavy to crush them into bits.
- Sprinkle the bits on the greek yogurt pretzels, then place in the freezer to set.
- Store in the freezer and enjoy!
Such a great idea! And can substitute the candy cane for other Christmas treats if people don’t like them.
