Pomegranate Orange Margarita
All the festivities all month long calls for a fun and festive drink, this Pomegranate Orange Margarita is the perfect addition to all the holiday fun.
Happy December everyone! I want you to take a little walk with me around the house, yes you heard me we are walking around the house to find the newest cocktail recipe. Since Matt and I love margaritas we always have tequila and cointreau and most of the time I have a homemade honey syrup in the fridge. This is a great start to our drink. December also means cold season so you better believe we have a bowl of oranges so the whole family can have some each day. So my mind started churning with the idea to make a fresh winter citrus margarita. With the oranges I figured we could cut the rind then juice them and add them to a shaker with tequila, cointreau and the honey syrup for a touch of sweetness. Then I figured it needed a touch of tart so I added a shot of pomegranate juice and lime juice. The perfect combo to make a delicious margarita that transports you to a tropical destination!
We might be adding these juices to a margarita, but just having some pomegranate juice in the fridge makes me feel like I’m making a good life choice. Anyone else?
Be sure and shake this well in your shaker to ensure that all the flavors get released and everything is mixed up. Next strain into your fav margarita glass, we love to use these short glasses because with Milo running around you really never know what can happen.
If you are new here you will soon find out that Matt and I love to experiment with new drinks and fun cocktails, I even made a whole E-book with drinks for all the seasons.
If margaritas are not your jam, don’t worry because I have a few more holiday drinks for you to try:Print
