Warm up with rich, creamy Paleo Hot Chocolate—dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and made with wholesome ingredients.

I DID IT!!! I freakin love hot chocolate. I have the fondest memories of getting home from water polo practice or swimming growing up and being freezing so my mom would make me a piping mug of hot cocoa. It is so comforting and the perfect dessert on a cold night. I love having a mix on hand so when you are tired at the end of the day you can just add some hot water and voila! This combo is so easy but an essential part is some coconut milk powder – which luckily is easy to find on amazon HERE. Matt and I have been enjoying a mug of these for the past few nights and we either top them with coconut milk whipped cream or smashmallows! I also recommend adding a dash of peppermint schnapps to your hot cocoa because its DELISH.
If you look at a standard store bought hot cocoa the first two ingredients are sugar and corn syrup solids, followed by a list of vegetable oils and a bunch of words you can’t pronounce. It is insane!!! Especially when you see how easy it is to make this recipe. Using coconut sugar sweetens it beautifully and is not refined like typical white sugar and coconut milk powder keeps it dairy free while still super creamy and delish!

Doesn’t that just look so incredible??

Topped with dairy free whipped cream! Reddi Whip now makes both an almond milk and coconut milk option and they are both delicious.

This powder will get me through the colder months and I hope it does for you too!

We like this recipe so much that we made jars for hubby’s coworkers in their Christmas gifts. Love that it is yummy, simple, and has real ingredients. Thank you!

I just made this but without the powdered coconut milk and it’s so good and just what I want. Not too sweet where you get a stomach ache but still totally hot chocolate! Gave it to my daughter and she won’t stop talking about hot chocolate
That is amazing!!
We’re dealing with an early ice storm in Oklahoma so it was a perfect day to make this recipe. It’s so delicious! I added a pinch of cinnamon and cayenne after my cup was made. I will be making this for Christmas gifts!
How perfect!!
This is delicious! I prepped some in a glass jar and I’m bringing it to my office tomorrow because…Toronto weather got me all FREEZING already!! I’ve been mixing some into my coffee for a mocha…is that wrong?! LOL Nope!! Thanks for an easy, yet much-needed health upgrade to the crap that’s in the stores…my three kids are thanking you as well 🙂
Making a mocha with it is the best!!!
Trying to figure out something to replace my sweet drink from Starbucks that I can make from home and is a bit healthier! Love this!
Yes!! Perfect!
Great!
This is so great! I made mine without the powdered milk and just mixed it into my warmed “coconut beverage”. It is just the right amount of sweetness and chocolatey warmth to literally fill your soul on a cold day. What a wonderful recipe and treat! Thank you!
