Garlic Herb Roasted Nuts - Paleo and done in 20 minutes!

Garlic Nuts! Christmas is almost here!!  And that means a long day/ weekend with the fam!  I am so excited to be spending Christmas with my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, nephew and hubby!  We have a jam packed day planned filled with games, food, movies & of course our annual beer pong tournament.  With all of this fun we will need lots of snacks to last us until dinner so between the whiskey meatballs and french onion dip, I also made these Garlic Herb Roasted Nuts!!  Instead of oil I used an egg white to make the goodness stick and it worked out great!  I just got a bag of Raw Mixed Nuts from Trader Joes and whipped these up in less than 30 minutes.  I liked this nut mix because it had almonds, cashews, pecans, and even brazil nuts!  All you do for these is mix the nuts with an egg white then toss with a mix of some spices and salt. I roasted these for 16 minutes at 300 degrees, stirring half way!  Let them cool and you have the perfect healthy nut mix to enjoy between glasses of Sangria…. Happy Holidays!!!

Nutrition for Roasted Garlic Nuts (with herbs)

Nuts are a great snack option when it comes to nutrition-focused snacking.  A lot of the time snacks and appetizers that are put out around the holidays are sugar and carb filled; empty calories.  The awesome thing about these garlic nuts is that they have a great amount of carbohydrate to protein ratio and are packed full of fiber.  Whats nice about that is it actually helps you feel full faster, really helping you control the portion size of snacking you do before your meal!  Because of their nutrient profile these nuts are going to help keep you satisfied while waiting out for your meal!  Please please please make these garlic nuts a part of your holiday spread!
