Bourbon Maple Meatballs

Enjoy these irresistible Bourbon Maple Meatballs, glazed with a sweet and smoky sauce. Perfect for appetizers or dinner!

Ingredients 

  • cup tomato paste
  • ½ cup chicken broth, or stock
  • ¼ cup bourbon
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup coconut aminos
  • 1 lb frozen meatballs, plain beef, turkey, or homestyle – not Italian

Instructions 

  • Make Sauce: In a saucepan, whisk together tomato paste, chicken broth, bourbon, maple syrup, and coconut aminos.
  • Heat Sauce: Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
  • Add Meatballs: Add the frozen or defrosted meatballs to the pan, stirring to coat them in the sauce. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the meatballs are heated through.
  • Serve or Keep Warm: Serve immediately, or keep on the lowest heat setting until ready to serve.

Notes

Slow Cooker Instructions:
  • Combine all sauce ingredients in the slow cooker and whisk.
  • Add meatballs, toss to coat, and cook on low for 1 hour. Then keep on 'warm' while serving.
Note: This recipe can be easily doubled, tripled, or quadrupled!
