Instructions
Make Sauce: In a saucepan, whisk together tomato paste, chicken broth, bourbon, maple syrup, and coconut aminos.
Heat Sauce: Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
Add Meatballs: Add the frozen or defrosted meatballs to the pan, stirring to coat them in the sauce. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the meatballs are heated through.
Serve or Keep Warm: Serve immediately, or keep on the lowest heat setting until ready to serve.
Notes
Slow Cooker Instructions:
Combine all sauce ingredients in the slow cooker and whisk.
Add meatballs, toss to coat, and cook on low for 1 hour. Then keep on 'warm' while serving.
Note: This recipe can be easily doubled, tripled, or quadrupled!
