Cranberry Brie Meatballs

Holiday perfection: Cranberry, BBQ, and savory meatballs baked with a creamy slice of melted brie cheese.

Ingredients 

For the Sauce:

  • 1 can, 14 oz jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 bottle, 12 oz bbq sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 bag, about 32 oz frozen pre-cooked meatballs** (beef or turkey work well)
  • Small wheel of brie, sliced into cubes
  • Parsley to top

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a large pot combine cranberry sauce, bbq sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder & black pepper.
  • Add in frozen meatballs, stir and cover to heat through.
  • Once warmed, scoop meatballs out of the sauce and place on a parchment lined baking sheet and top each meatball with a small slice of brie. Put a toothpick in the top of keep the brie from falling off.
  • Pour the remaining sauce into a bowl for dipping.
  • Place meatballs in the oven for 5 minutes to melt brie. Place meatballs on a serving platter with the sauce and top each with chopped parsley.

  • ** I liked to use "homestyle" and not Italian!
