This Chai Spiced Oatmeal Bake is a delicious fall breakfast that you can make ahead and eat all week!

Chai Spiced Oatmeal Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup non dairy milk*
  • 3 chai tea bags 
  • 2 and 1/4 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp flax meal (ground flax seeds)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tsp chai spice mix
  • Icing (optional)

Instructions

  • Microwave milk for about 1 minute to warm then soak tea bags in warm milk for 5-10 min.
  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and pour into a square pyrex dish that has been lightly oiled.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes.

Notes

  • You can use regular dairy milk if you want!
  • Icing: 3/4 cup powdered sugar + 2 tbsp chai tea (fun for a weekend breakfast!)
